Pokemon Center Japan Proxy Shopping Guide · Exclusives, Lotteries, Stores

How to proxy-shop the 14 Pokemon Center stores in Japan, city-exclusive Pikachu and lottery-only items. Covers Pokemon Center Online limits, store-only releases, Mega Tokyo exclusives and the proxy workflow.

TL;DR

  • ✓ 14 stores: Mega Tokyo, Tokyo DX, Shibuya, Skytree, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Sapporo …
  • ✓ City-exclusive Pikachu: Osaka Auntie, Kyoto Maiko, Sapporo Vulpix, Mega Tokyo Rainbow
  • ✓ Big plush, TCG limited boxes and collabs are lottery-only
  • ✓ Pokemon Center Online refuses foreign cards — proxy is the practical route
  • ✓ Michi anime-category shoppers run the lottery / queue flow for you

Pokemon Center merch comes in three tiers: nationwide, city-exclusive and lottery / limited-stock. If you want the Mega Tokyo Rainbow Pikachu, the Osaka Auntie or the Kyoto Maiko, a proxy shopper is basically your only option.

1. The 14 physical Pokemon Center stores (as of 2026)

  • Mega Tokyo (Ikebukuro Sunshine City) — biggest, most exclusives
  • Tokyo DX & Pokemon Cafe (Nihonbashi Takashimaya)
  • Shibuya (Shibuya PARCO) — Shibuya-exclusive Pikachu
  • Tokyo Bay (Chiba LaLaport)
  • Skytree Town (Oshiage)
  • Osaka (Daimaru Umeda) — Auntie Pikachu / Takoyaki Pikachu
  • Osaka DX (Shinsaibashi Daimaru)
  • Kyoto (Takashimaya) — Maiko Pikachu / matcha line
  • Nagoya (Matsuzakaya)
  • Fukuoka (Hakata)
  • Sapporo (Sapporo Daimaru) — Hokkaido Vulpix
  • Sendai, Hiroshima, Yokohama

2. City-exclusive Pikachu

Each store has unique plush, pins, towels and small goods — and they are only sold at that store, never on Pokemon Center Online.

3. Lottery / limited-stock items

Big plush, limited TCG boxes and collabs use a lottery system:

  1. Sign-up window (needs Japan address + payment method)
  2. Result announced 1–2 weeks later
  3. If you win — pay by deadline, pick up in store or ship to a Japan address

Foreign users basically can't do this themselves — Michi anime-category shoppers sign up, pay, receive and forward to your country.

4. Pokemon Center Online limits

  • Only Japan-issued credit cards or Konbini payment
  • Only ships within Japan
  • No city-exclusives, no store-only goods
  • Limited drops are 99% lottery

5. Proxy workflow

  1. Pick a shopper on the Michi anime directory
  2. Contact via LINE / WhatsApp / WeChat with the exact store and item (include official image / SKU)
  3. Get a quote: item + service + queue/lottery fee + international freight
  4. Pay 30–50% deposit
  5. Shopper visits the store / enters the lottery / queues
  6. Confirmation photo → balance → ship to your country

Total time for lottery items to HK / TW / MY: 2–4 weeks.

6. Avoiding counterfeits

  • Authentic items have Japanese-language tags + Pokemon Center labels
  • Ask the shopper to photograph the store receipt + tag + item together
  • Cross-check the official image on Pokemon Center Online

FAQ

How can I tell if Pokemon Center merch is authentic?+

Authentic items always have Japanese tags + Pokemon Center labels and a store receipt. Ask the shopper to photograph receipt + tag + item in the same shot. Counterfeits differ in fabric, stitching and eye placement.

Can a shopper enter the TCG limited-box lottery for me?+

Yes. Lottery-only Japanese sets (Eevee Heroes, Crown Zenith Japanese, Sword & Shield exclusives) need a Japan address. Michi anime shoppers run this flow regularly.

Is there a per-person purchase limit?+

Yes, usually 5–10 small items or 1–2 big plush per person. For bulk you need multiple visits or multiple stores — your shopper can plan that.
