Michi Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Agreement

By accessing or using Michi (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. You must be at least 18 years old.

2. License to Use

Michi grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Browse shopper profiles and product information
• Contact shoppers through the platform
• Submit applications to become a shopper
• Use the AI product search features

3. Buyer Responsibilities

As a buyer, you agree to:

• Bear all transaction risks yourself
• Verify shopper identity and reputation independently
• Negotiate payment terms directly with shoppers
• Not hold Michi liable for any transaction issues

4. Shopper Responsibilities

As a shopper, you agree to:

• Provide truthful and accurate personal information
• Fulfill transaction commitments honestly
• Comply with local Japanese laws and regulations
• Not use the platform for any fraudulent activity

5. Payments and Fees

Regarding payments:

• Michi does not process any payments
• All payments occur directly between buyers and shoppers
• Michi bears no responsibility for payment disputes

6. No Warranties

All information on the platform is for reference only. Michi does not verify the accuracy of information provided by shoppers.

7. Limitation of Liability

This includes but is not limited to: transaction losses, product quality issues, fraud losses, data loss, or any other financial losses.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for fraud or illegal activities
• Post false or misleading information
• Harass or threaten other users
• Attempt to disrupt platform operations
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

• AI-generated content may contain errors, mistranslations, outdated or distorted information, and does not represent the position, recommendation, or endorsement of Michi or Equal Voice Lab Limited.
• All content is for reference only. Users must independently verify and refer to the original source URL.
• Michi makes no express or implied warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of AI-generated content.
• Any decision or loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content is solely the user's responsibility and unrelated to Michi.

15. Third-Party Content, Links and Sources

The /sources and /trends pages contain links to third-party websites, brand official pages, media, and social platforms.

• All third-party sites are not owned, controlled, or operated by Michi. Michi is not responsible for their content, privacy policies, availability, or security.
• Michi lists such links for informational navigation only and does not constitute a recommendation, endorsement, or partnership.
• Clicking an external link takes the user off the Michi platform; the user must evaluate the risks and comply with the terms of that site.
• If a content rights holder of any source site requests removal, Michi will process it within a reasonable time (see Section 16).

16. Intellectual Property and Takedown Procedure

Michi respects the rights of all original content creators and copyright holders.

• Original copyright of all article titles, summaries, and images aggregated from third-party sources belongs to the respective source. The platform serves a non-commercial aggregation and indexing purpose only.
• If you are a copyright holder or authorised representative and believe content on the platform infringes your rights, you may send a written notice to hello@michiproject.com.
• The notice must include: (a) your identity and contact information; (b) the specific URL alleged to infringe; (c) a statement that you own the relevant rights; (d) a statement of truthfulness and your signature.
• Michi will review and take appropriate action — including removing or disabling the relevant content — within 14 business days of receiving a qualifying notice.

• Your breach of these Terms or any applicable law;
• Your transactions, disputes, or conflicts with any proxy buyer, seller, or third party;
• Any content you publish, transmit, or share on the platform;
• Any use or misuse of the platform by you, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, infringement, or violation of import/export controls.

Equal Voice Lab Limited is a UK ICO-registered data controller (Reg. No. ZB959895), and complies with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

• Right of access: you may request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: you may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure (right to be forgotten): you may request deletion of your personal data, subject to statutory retention obligations.
• Right to restrict processing and object: you may restrict or object to specific purposes (e.g. direct marketing).
• Right to data portability: you may request your data in a structured, commonly-used, machine-readable format.
• Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

• Analytics cookies: help us understand usage patterns (e.g. Vercel Analytics). Activated only after your consent.
• Marketing cookies: used for personalised advertising or cross-site tracking. This platform does not currently use them.
